"I believe in Christ, so come what may"

My realization of what Jesus Christ did for me really was a deeply personal experience. I won't take the time to tell it here beacause it's such an intimate experience. I realized that it was me, and me alone, that was responsible for my sins, and that realization hurt. It was at that moment I truly understood what repentance was, not as an excuse, but a deep feeling anchored to my spirit that obligated me to be entirely honest, with myself and with the Lord. I think I was afraid of such a feeling, a feeling of loneliness, loss, and especially distance from the Lord, and to know that me who was solely was the cause. It was a dark time, but in spite of this, I saw the light at the end of the tunnel, an escape from this pain, and this way is Jesus Christ. Even when I’d given up on myself, he’d not given up on me, and he helped me through it. I will praise his name forever. I continue to work out my salvation in a respective fear before him, for the mercy he awarded me through the atoning blood of Christ. The words, “For it is expedient that an atonement should be made; for according to the great plan of the Eternal God there must be an atonement made, or else all mankind must unavoidably perish... For it is expedient that there should be a great and last sacrifice…it must be an infinite and eternal sacrifice…And behold, this is the whole meaning of the law, every whit pointing to that great and last sacrifice, and that great and last sacrifice will be the Son of God, yea, infinite and eternal.”(Alma 34:9-14) explain the necessity of this Atonement, accomplished only by the sacrifice of Jesus. Christ, our only hope. Come what may, he will never leave me, he will be my strength and support.

Yes, I know that God lives, the Father of us all. He created a plan where by we can receive Eternal Life and Immortality, possible only by him sending his Son to this world. Yes, I know Jesus is the Christ, the Anointed of God, who saves us from our sins.Yes, I know, by an undeniable witness of the Holy Ghost, that the Church of Jesus Christ is again on the earth to prepare the return of his Only Begotten.
