Without him

A while back i had a conversation with a friend whose parents got a divorce at the same time mine did. She wasn't Lds but she did believe in God. Our conversation was about the trials we were going through and when i brought up that my family would not be held together as well with out the love of Christ. She asked me how I could still believe and have such a strong faith in someone who let this happen to us. My answer was simple. He didn't let this happen to us. We have our free agency and people don't always make the right choice. Christ is there for us when things don't go the way we hoped they would. Without him my family would be homeless and for all my we know i wouldn't have a brother on a mission. I would have a brother in jail. I might have even had one who would have committed suicide. My mother would not even be able to support herself let alone a family. As for me i wouldnt even be able to write this blog because i wouldnt be in school. Christ held my family together so we could depend on each other. My older brother is my best and only friend i trust. He is the trying his hardest to be what christ wants him to be so that my younger brothers have something good to look up to. what im trying to say is that your faith in Christ changes everything. You may not be able to see it in the moment but once you step out and let everything in your head clear up and not be as cloudy you see everything in a new perspective. You start to see what Christ sees and that is what makes the difference between my friend and myself. I love Christ and everything he has done for me. It amazes me sometimes that he knows me personally and knows my needs as well as every other person in this world. Without him we can do nothing! I am grateful for this church and this Institute. It is nice to attend a school where you can feel Christ's love every where you go. I am happy and grateful for my trials and the growth i have gotten from it. I know christ loves us and will never let us fail.
